TONE3000 claims its new A2 modeling tech is “virtually indistinguishable” from real gear – and runs on a $3 chip

TONE3000 releases NAM Architecture 2 (A2), a free, open‑source amp/pedal modeling framework co-developed with Neural Amp Modeler’s creator. A2 claims higher accuracy with much lower CPU, reportedly running on cheap ARM M7-class chips and outperforming major competitors in MUSHRA blind and quantitative tests. Comes as A2-Full (studio) and A2-Lite (embedded) and integrates with a large ecosystem of 350k+ tone captures via an API. This is relevant to game audio for real-time guitar/amp sims and low‑CPU DSP that could be embedded or integrated into game engines/tools.
